How to shop on DealStreet.ca
Deals, flyers and coupons are presented to you based on your provided start location. We do this in order to provide you with deals that are easily accessible to you. This does not mean that you are restricted to the area we provide you, you can allways expand the search area radius by selecting a larger area from the « Whithin » drop down menu at the top of your screen. Urban areas are assigned a 10 km radius by default, this means that you are presented with deals and flyers from merchants that are located in a 10 km radius from your provided postal code, rural areas have a 25 km radius.
If you selected a city name instead of entering your postal code, DealStreet selects a mid-point in that city to start from, this may not be as precise as entering your specific postal code so we encourage you to do so.
Why can’t I access my coupon anymore?
Answer:
If the coupon is grey shaded that could mean the coupon validity date was expired or that you had reached the maximum allowed print for this coupon.
If the coupon has disappeared from your list it is likely that the coupon had been expired for more then 30 days (we must proceed to regular cleanup on the site to maximize your experience). It is also possible that the coupon was pulled of the site at the retailer’s request.

When I click on a category, there’s no deals showing for it. Why is that?
Answer:
DealStreet wants you to have access to a maximum number of offers, this is why we keep our list as large as possible. Sometimes there my not be any deals available in your area for a specific category but this is not to say that next week there will not be some. We could make it that you would only see the categories that contain specific deals, but then there’s a risk you would not see a category that interests you and might not come back to visit us later to see what’s in there. And we don’t want that. So, we decided to make it a bit wider selection, but rest assure our intent is to provide you deals for these categories, so we are working on it so that you do see some in a very near future.
I added a coupon to my shopping list, why can’t I view or print it?
Answer:
In order to print a coupon you need to be logged in. Coupons have a limited number of impressions allowed. This is done in order to ensure that the coupon provider continues to offer these exclusive deals while maintaining a good price on the products you love. In order to give you access to the print functionality and protect the coupon provider we need to ensure you are a regular consumer and not a web bot (web bots are little programs that scan the web and can retrieve a great number of information and potentially arm the user experience). This is why we ask that you create a user login account , it’s completely free and will provide you access to different applications such as the shopping list, the user define items and the email alerts.
Why are you asking me to enter more postal codes?
Answer:
One of DealStreet’s features is to allow you to store multiple postal code, those you frequently for your shopping needs. This way you don’t have to remember them and you can quickly retrieve them when you need it. Typically the first one would be your home, or the place you use to shop from most often. A second one could be your cottage and a third one could be your mom’s place or a close friend you visit regularly. When you connect in the top of the page you will see a drop-down menu from which you can recall one of these stored postal codes.
Why can’t I see the coupon image in the print preview mode?
Answer:
In order to protect the coupon supplier against possible fraud we need to ensure there is no way to capture the coupon image and print it many times. This is why we disable the print preview function for the coupon. But rest assured, the coupon print quality has been tested to work and print well on a majority of printer types.
